TOD

TOD is a speculative design project developed as the final project of the bachelor degree. Based on research on funeral and commemorative rituals, the project aims to convey a reflection on the need to renew rituals and adapt them to the lifestyle and modern needs. An alternative present has been proposed in which TOD, a commemoration device that blends into the environment and daily life of its users just like any high-tech appliance guiding the user to the proper commemoration of the deceased, suggesting the right frequency and judging the execution of tasks requested daily by the machine. The two main parts of the project were the prototyping of the product (hardware: Arduino; UI: HTML5, p5.js) and the communication of the fictional brand.
